Not actually in the sky, but it looks that way. We had a very heavy rain in the morning. Not a lightning and thunder, but a good hard rain. The lake actually flooded and overflowed the banks. It was temporary and in less than an hour the lake was back to normal height.
The day became very bright and clear and you can see the clouds that remained. I went to the edge of the lake to survey what the flooding may have done. Nothing of importance.
But mama duck brought her 5 ducklings over to introduce them to me. I assume she thought I was going […] Continue reading » Mama and Ducklings in the Sky

Would I upgrade the body of the camera? Maybe someday, there are some user features I would like, but the real work in photography is managed by the lens and the skill of the photographer.
I have five lenses I use […] Continue reading » Through The Lens
Dan Kautz – Hot Shot
This photo was created by my daughter Shelley (Shel), who as you can see is a very creative photographer. Yes, she is a professional and I am very proud of her and the work she does. So the photograph is me but it isn’t about me.
Shel shot at least 50 photos I assume. Some were kind of silly, some intense, and some are what I would call studio normal. This is not in a photo studio, but my home studio/workshop. Shel wanted an authentic background.
We both hade a lot of fun. I was honored to be the first test vict… […] Continue reading » Hot Shot!
