I just spent three days at Possum Kingdom Lake a.k.a. “PK”<\/a> about\u00a090 miles west of Fort Worth, Texas. The reason was one of those “manager retreats” some corporations use to “recharge” their present and future leaders. A good chance to have face to face relationship building between far flung and local team members. A good experience overall even if we didn’t have any time to spend on the lake itself.<\/p>\n

The lake is a result of damning the Brazos river in a gorge area so the lake is rather narrow with steep cliffs on each side and is about 60 miles long. There is a beautiful view from the “Cliffs Resort” where we stayed. Here is one quotation I found why it is called Possum Kingdom Lake. “Area hills and valleys, post oaks, and cedars make a “veritable paradise” for possums around the lake.”<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Well, that certainly doesn’t conjure up an exciting location in my mind. Must be a good story there as there are many very expensive ($1M+) homes on the lake.<\/p>\n
