I had noticed it was out when I pulled into my parking spot earlier in the week at TAC. It is still dark outside then and I could see in the building glass reflection that the light was out. The entire driving light housing was replaced once before as a rock had done a number on the glass lens. So this was a newer bulb than the one still burning. I replaced both bulbs so now I am on an even burn time again. I didn’t turn the good one on again after I saw the outage. I think I have some kind of “Monk” (on US TV) complex about uneven lighting…

Some folks think drivers who have those lights on are using the high beam. We are not. They are low beam and go off with the highs. They provide excellent fill lighting close in to the front of the vehicle… for seeing bumps and potholes just before I hit them! 🙂

I discovered today my home brew CNC router has a design weakness. I can only blame myself. I designed it. One part is weaker than it should be. The reason is I was building for low cost. It proves that low cost is not always the best decision for long term results. That means the next one will be better. I can and do learn from my mistakes, as few as they are… 😉 Back to the drawing boards.

I replaced the burned out bulb in the driving light on the left front of my Dodge RAM Hemi on Saturday morning.
