I have been posting a lot of stuff here in Ramblin’ Dan about my many hobbies and especially about my machine shop. That’s what a personal blog is about… anything I want! Ha! \ud83d\ude06<\/p>\n
But I have had questions from some readers about where they are supposed to look for new writings on hobby activities. I have the same thought problem too. Where should I put stuff I want to share; web site, the\u00a0forum (TEDEX), or here?<\/p>\n
The forum lets others post their own stuff. It also permits the participant to upload pictures directly to the web server. I think of it more like a “club” space for everyone to contribute. When I am doing something small in my shop\u00a0I like to post there. But size isn’t the only reason.<\/p>\n
This blog allows comments to my posts\u00a0but no new posting by anyone but me. It doesn’t have to be that way. It is they way I want it and the way I set it up. I could open a Blog for many contributors. That would be a bit more in conflict with the Forum but blogs seem to be the rage. (Any suggestions?)<\/p>\n
Web sites are really exclusive as far as two way communication. I think it is perfect for detailed “How to’s” and picture essays. Long time readers will have noticed I have shifted all my editorializing here to the Blog with just a little of that\u00a0on the Forum.<\/p>\n
