The process took over an hour and a half and I have a 50 MB cable internet connection. I assume it was a total update as it had to reboot several times and it took a long time \u201csetting things up\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At first I thought Win10 had broken a lot of my programs but what happens is it takes a long time to open a program for the first time. After\u00a0an initial slow start,\u00a0all programs were very fast in opening. The new OS update must include a start-up cache for programs. Whatever, it is much faster after the first try.<\/p>\n<p>The whole system seems faster but I have not done any measuring. It\u2019s the impression that actually matters, and it is good.<\/p>\n<p>It makes me think the OS takeover attempt I experienced before the update may have been an attempt to get in to wreck havoc before the newest Win 10 updates started.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever is happening, the computer (Win10) is working just fine and apparently a bit faster.
