I hold membership in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aeecenter.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Association of Energy Engineers (AEE)<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ashrae.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE)<\/a>. My pappy would be proud.<\/p>\n<p>I also earned some credentials from the AEE which are; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aeecenter.org\/certification\/CEMpage.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Certified Energy Manager (CEM)<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aeecenter.org\/certification\/beppage.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Certified Business Energy Professional (BEP)<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aeecenter.org\/certification\/CSDPPage.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Certified Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP)<\/a>. It&#8217;s all alphabet soup to anyone not in the business. It doesn&#8217;t matter to me if anyone else understands or not. It just makes me feel good that I could stand up to official measurement and make\u00a0professional growth marks high on my wall of achievements.<\/p>\n<p>My brother and I when we were little kids, used to make physical growth marks on the wall at one of our grandparents house. I suppose everyone has done something like that growing up. At least I hope so.<\/p>\n<p>I actually feel the same way about my earned amateur radio privileges and the radio call sign W5EHS. I am a member and life member of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arrl.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">American Radio Relay League (ARRL)<\/a> since 1969. Although a hobby, amateur radio requires a certification testing process and the issuing of a <a href=\"http:\/\/wireless.fcc.gov\/services\/index.htm?job=licensing&amp;id=amateur\" target=\"_blank\">Federal Communication Commission license<\/a>.
