I filed income taxes last night. It was toward the end of the IRS filing period but not too late to do so. It only involved the federal as there is no state income tax in Texas.
That load (pressure) is off my mind. It is the one chore that I never enjoy doing. It feels like I just don’t have all the information and I might be missing something. Damn those H&R Block commercials. Where are my people, in the Turbo Tax box? I should just get it over with sooner. Ha!
The point is the taxpayer still has to gather all the tangible proof, no matter who writes it down on the paper… <sigh>
I made a donation of real property (land) to Boardman Park (Boardman, Ohio) last year so that created a small tax shelter. We are actually getting money back this time. You folks in Boardman Ohio can enjoy the tiny new park land. Thank you Uncle Sam.
