As my period of existence increases (as I get older) my analog internal timekeeper seems to be running slower and slower. The effect is that the outside environment is moving faster and faster. I have conversed with other creatures of my species with similar chronological originating points and they also experience the phenomenon. So is it mass hysteria based on period of existence or a truly measurable time/space relationship? Something to ponder. I am sure it has something to do with computers. My life mate tells me that.
I find my self wanting 7:00 AM Sunday morning on the porch with a cup of java to just last longer. Somehow it is suddenly 7:32 then 8:03. What happened to 7:00 AM !
As a first decade old life form, the seasonal period called “summer” (in my recall ability) lasted forever. Of course it didn’t as I have now progressed through 6 of those decades. One day back then was a huge event. I think maybe it was because I wasn’t tied to the same internal time reference I use today. My internal clock was running so fast that external time was almost stopped in comparison.
I have read many times in journals of printed communication, the statement that “life was slower in the old days” I am not certain when the “old days” occurred but it seems certain to me it was back within my first 10 years of existence.
I need to gather additional evidence. If any readers think I am on to something here, let me know. Provide more evidence. ~ Dan’l
