Still playing with Windows 8. I have been getting Flash errors in Internet Explorer 10 which was provided in Win8. Doing some internet research I discover MS has vowed to abolish browser plugins, most notably Adobe Flash.
Well, Adobe Flash is sort of there as MS has built it into IE10. When I started getting Flash errors in IE10 (messages said I needed an update) I went to Adobe and I couldn’t even read the Flash update page. Adobe informed me I had the wrong version of Flash to view the page. I had to go to MS for an update. Holy cow! I need flash installed to load flash. Ha!
Yes Dan remember, Win 8 and IE10 are just a Release Preview (Advanced Beta). No factory support yet.
I guess Microsoft and Apple are holding hands on the squash the Flash bug. Flash is reputed to be slow sure, but there is a lot of it out there. HTML 5 is supposed to be the new savior. We just have to hold our breath until the victory.
So in the meantime us peon users in the trenches will have to find a way to survive the Flash Wars. Well, Chrome and Firefox still offer safe heaven. So does Win7.
