A Small Drip

I did an install of Drupal7 on my web server last night. It is a CMS (Content Management System) software system for building and publishing a great many different kinds of websites.

I have been wanting to take a look at Drupal for some time and a possible use for it at my work made me load up the latest version for a look-see.

I works quite a bit differently than the Joomla CMS which I have been using to build websites now for several years.

Drupal is up and running just fine but I am not going to make the URL public until I have something worthwhile to show. I don’t have any plans for another personal web site so the reveal won’t likely be any time soon.

I have determined the learning curve and support from no one at work other than myself, does not make it a suitable candidate for my application. However, I think the software is completely suitable within itself to do what I want someday on my personal sites. The drip may become a flood.

At work I may end up using – from everything considered, a SharePoint application. It’s a horse we keep riding.
