Light-O-Rama

I have a new project I am working on. This one is for Christmas time. I am a computer and electronics as well as a radio experimenter and amateur radio operator. (W5EHS) So I am interested in anything electronic. That’s probably why I get so enthused about CNC and how electronics and computers (and my real job in building control systems) can control real world objects.

Here is the site to visit: Light-o-Rama . I bought two of their controller kits. If you know me, you know I just have to build them. I ordered on a highly discounted off season order, two of their CTB-16D controller kits.

It takes about 6 hours for me to build and test a single board. I built one last Sunday. There is one more board to go. I will have 32 channels of light control to play with in December.

Look at the web site and play the videos of the Christmas lights. I am not any where near these folks in capability but it shows what can be done. I did build (of course) an FM broadcast transmitter to play music to go with my display.

More stuff with which to play! – Dan’l
