TEDEX
The poor TEDEX horse is about dead. I keep beating on (uh… my brain) trying to get her back up on her feet so she can run again. But when I open the stable for awhile, all the nag will attract is a hoard of flies. That’s a rather crude simile, but it is, what it is. I’ll probably be arrested by the SPCA police (They have TV shows on the subject now.) since in today’s sensitive culture, animals have been given more rights than some people get.
Hey, I not complaining. I don’t beat real horses. I do swat flies though. I had the TEDEX forum open for registration for 60 days and all it attracted was over 400 off-topic registrations and some spam postings. (the flies) I promoted the open registration in my blogs and websites, but no real new members showed up. Probably poor marketing on my part.
In any case I have better things to do than feed the horse and keep the stable clean. TEDEX is still open (out to pasture) for browsing but registration is closed again. I was getting 8-10 registrations (and email notices) per day as I set TEDEX up that I had to approve the (bogus) membership applications.
It’s fun at first but gets very old after a few months. Real new members would have been interesting to chat with. Maybe I’ll prod ol’ TEDEX again and give her some more oats. She could get stronger… some day.
