It is staying hot here in Frisco Texas. For several weeks, temperatures remain in the 100’s and yesterday was 110 in some places. The Weather Underground gives the best picture of what the temperature really is in a community. They have all those home stations reporting. A few of those reportage’s are in error I am sure but you get a good overall sense of the local backyard temperature. Our official temperature is reported out in the middle of DFW airport somewhere, not near where people live.
I know my car temperature is accurate and sometimes it scares me. I watch it change as I pass through various micro climates. The variation usually combines with altitude (ground level) changes. We have been in the 100’s a lot longer than the official report.
The lake behind the house and small lakes everywhere else are also getting quite low. They are a sure sign that it has been very hot and very little rain. That’s Texas!
