Two more days left in this shortest month of the year. That’s good because Spring is only three weeks away. Here in Texas we have winter but it seems and is so short compared to where I germinated in N.E. Ohio. Yesterday was 80 degrees in Dallas and of course we pay for that with a long hot summer.
So that begs the question, is it easier to be where it is cold and find ways to stay warm or to be where it is hot and find ways to stay cool? Ha! Don’t answer that. People can adapt to just about anything. I like the variety here in North Texas.
My perfect spot considering weather only would be where there is four seasons but both winter and summer are moderate in duration and never extreme. There are a lot more requirements than weather to the question, “Where is the best place to live?”
Since I am more the engineering mind, I like to measure, design and seek perfection. But I have discovered in my philosophical mind that life is really a very large collection of compromises traveling along in a very loose configuration. There is no thing as absolute perfection. That understanding is what keeps you and me and the world sane. I am not so sure about you… you are reading my perfect blog.
