Two days ago, all my websites listed in the left column (including this one) were unreachable. An error message generated from C Panel told visitors there was a URL or server IP error. Usually that produces a 404 error but not from Site5. My secure sites were functional (SSL) but all regular sites were off-line.
I contacted Site5 through Chat as that is their only method to generate a repair ticket. I fully explained what I have written above. The response was they would reset the Domain Name Servers (DNS) and all would be well.
They did reset my root account (tedatum.com) but none (10+) of my other domains were reset after 24 hours of patiently waiting.
I just spent another 40 minutes on the Chat re-explaining my problem. First, I was told they could not see anything wrong. I sent them the URL of the error message I was getting on my (10+) other websites. (screen shot shown here.) Attitude changed from disbelief to getting it fixed. Another reset of the DNS was promised and that the problem would never happen again… Hmmm…
This time within an hour, all my domains have come back on line. Site5 can fix problems when they try and get their head out of their… uh, never mind.
I don’t know what the issue is with Site5, but I do not have them on my reliable ISP list.
And so the saga continues…
