North Texas is getting dressed for spring. The weather hasn’t settled yet as far as temperature. I am seeing 45 Degree F. swings on some days. It will be 35 at night and hit 80 in very early afternoon.
Some of the flowering trees have figured that winter is over as some Bradford Pears are in full bloom. Many species of non flowering trees have their early new leaves greeting the sunlight. Officially there are 16 days until light and dark are supposed to be equal. I don’t intend to tell Mother Nature. It’s not nice to fool with Mother Nature…
Texas is known for its breezy days and also for its changing weather. You know… “If you don’t like the weather in Texas, wait a few days.” However, I have heard that same claim in every state where I have lived; Ohio, New Hampshire, Texas and even a short spell in Alaska. Must be the same story everywhere.
I’ll grab a picture or two today of the evidence of which I speak. That way any readers from where it is still snowing today can see some hope or just hate me. 🙂
the trees blooming look nice ,especially the pink color,
the thing i dont like about the trees thinking it is spring already ,they usually get it wrong..and then it comes a really big frost. 🙁
last year was ok but the year before ,all the fruit trees around here (tennessee) got some bad frost bite..and killed all the buds and the fruit was very minimal …but again this last year was prolly one of the best years for fruit that i can remember in a while.
still… nice to see some signs of it warming up. 🙂
Yeah, I hope we are past the frost. You can see these trees are committed. I like the “all the windows on the car are down” weather. It is 73 degrees F at 11:00 PM tonight as I write this…
