Amateur Radio

This is a subject I haven’t discussed in Ramblin’ Dan. I have been an amateur radio operator for almost 40 years. I was first licensed as a Novice in 1969. I was permitted to operate a 75 watt (input) crystal controlled transmitter, Morse radio code only. My call was WN8EHS. I am now W5EHS. Yes, there are gravatars lurking here in Ramblin’ Dan. Just two so far and I have one of them. The gravatar is the little face or icon that appears with replies to posts in blogs. They are not saved here in Ramblin’ Dan but rather out in the gravatar web site. Progress Report V64

Most of my major (32 bit) software has been installed over in the Vista64 OS. That is all my Microsoft office and accounting programs and all of my Adobe suites. Also a few other apps I consider important such as WS_FTP pro from Ipswitch, and a new version of CMS IntelliCAD 6.6 Pro. The CMS IntelliCAD is the only 32 bit software so far that hasn’t let me install in both 32 and 64 “worlds”...

Something Fishey

Here are the slides taken while attending my TAC (my real job) fishing trip to Calcasieu Lake a.k.a Big Lake , Louisiana.
