Road Trip

Gloria and I took the new GTI on a 2700 mile 8 day road trip. We started September 15 leaving Frisco, Texas following a day behind the aftermath of hurricane Ike up through Ohio. In Frisco, Texas, Saturday and Sunday before we left, the hurricane was no worse than any typical North Texas storm front. Car Smarts

The GTI did a strange thing to me yesterday. Well, actually a good thing. It has more gee-wiz electronic devices than even a computer nerd like me wants to know. Hot Stuff

It is staying hot here in Frisco Texas. For several weeks, temperatures remain in the 100’s and yesterday was 110 in some places. The Weather Underground gives the best picture of what the temperature really is in a community. They have all those home stations reporting.
