Amateur Radio Blogging

I have been writing for the PARK, Plano Amateur Radio Klub newsletter and website for many years. I had stopped for awhile but recently started writing again. I just sort of ramble along with what I write.

The web site shows a high level of hits I have been told. However I have a problem with the design/layout of the site. Its grown old and I find it disjointed and jumbled to navigate the site. It is not intuitive to my intuitiveness if I can say that. It just needs a re-design. It is built with a free program called PostNuke. I am not familiar with how that program operates but it certainly seems adequate. The klub has a new set of web masters and a new editor so I am thinking the navigation clumsiness is now on the bench getting fixed.

I know I could help do better but I don’t have the time to invest. It is pretty much a labor of love to do it well. It is after all, a gratis donation of someone’s time and I’ll leave that work to the new design folks involved with the new editor. I am sure they will enjoy the challenge. I know I do.

I have decided to publish everything I write about amateur radio here in Ramblin’ Dan (under Amateur Radio) and will share some of it with the PARK. That means this site will include some information about amateur radio that is not shared. Overall, I intend to push Ramblin’ Dan further into my special interests and radio/electronics is just one of them.  Stay tuned!  🙂
