Kautz Cars

The Kautz’s all gathered last weekend to show off the new cars. There wasn’t a plan for everyone to buy a new car at the same time, but it seemed to work out that way. 

The red car is mine and there is a preview in another post here in the BLOG. It is a VW GTI MkV. It is a hot little sport vehicle with a turbo 200HP, 2 liter engine. But it can still get 30 MPG.

The little yellow car is my daughter Shelley’s Morris Mini Cooper. I don’t know the specs, but it too will get over 30 MPG.

The Xterra getting washed is my son Steve’s and is “old” at several months. Ha! I think the mileage is good. He bought that car for work as his old truck was on its’ last Texas roundup.

Steve and Shel are twins, so I wonder how they ended up with the same color?

Mom’s Van is only two years old and in great shape. So you see we didn’t ALL go on a new car spree. I was mostly driven by the cost of gas. Shel had a VW bug but always wanted a Mini.

So here we are checking everything out.
