Gloria and I took the new GTI on a 2700 mile 8 day road trip. We started September 15 leaving Frisco, Texas following a day behind the aftermath of hurricane Ike up through Ohio. In Frisco, Texas, Saturday and Sunday before we left, the hurricane was no worse than any typical North Texas storm front. Here is the latest addition to the Kautz family. I present Tessa Danielle Kautz, 1.5 hours old, 7lb. 9oz., 20 inches, born 5:57 PM May 27th.. As you can see, grandmas, mother, father and Tessa are doing fine. Grandpa Dan is OK enough to take pictures. Thanks to Aunt Shelly for pix of me and of Tessa’s hand!

I have been experimenting with cold cathode lighting for use with the Lithophanes. This is just a setup on the work bench. This looks like it will be a superb method of displaying these carvings.
