My bright red VW GTI’s dark mascot of speed, “FAST” (shown here) somehow got me captured by a Carrollton Texas speed trap. A speed trap it certainly is. Just north of Beltline Rd. (everyone in Dallas knows Beltline) there is an access road to route 35E (going north). 35E traffic is moving at 60-70 MPH (normal over the limit speed) at 2:00 PM on a Monday. The access road is posted at 35 (the trap)...

I filed income taxes last night. It was toward the end of the IRS filing period but not too late to do so. It only involved the federal as there is no state income tax in Texas. That load (pressure) is off my mind. It is the one chore that I never enjoy doing. It feels like I just don’t have all the information and I might be missing something. Damn those H&R Block commercials....

I have been spending time working in my garage workshop. What I was doing there was solving some problems with my home built CNC router machine I call the HB2. I estimate I have run it for close to 80 hours which means many dozens of carving projects have already been produced. After all this operation, tiny flaws reveal they can cause serious problems.
