Here is a video display of my computerized lighting display for Christmas 2009. There are 32 individual circuits and thousands of individual lights. Elsewhere in this blog is a report on the design of the system. HERE
The music is played on a broadcast band FM transmitter and can be heard on (visiting) car radios at 107.3 MHz.
The display is not simply plugging in a song and letting the lights do their thing. There are many hours of creative programming of each the 32 channels and the 100’s of variations that can be created on each channel. The Christmas light show is truly an artistic work wherever you see one. No two are the same.
Special thanks to Mike Divito as I borrowed his creative music efforts with the “Winter Wonderland” song he arranged and recorded.
WOW!!!
i remember reading where you had those light up before but never realized it was that intense, pretty amazing stuff there dan.
on a side note,…as i was watching a told the kids to come watch ..”i said that pretty cool huh?”
they said “thats scary, i would be afraid to walk up to their door” (i did have the music pretty loud i guess 🙂
i still think is pretty cool, you could do a whole light show based on each “key” note although it would be alot of work
GOOD JOB DAN!!!
