Certificate of Recognition

You know your getting old when they send you one of these. I have been a licensed amateur radio operator and a member of this association since 1969.

I was about 22 years old back then. Most of the following forty years I have been a life member of this group. I think the life membership cost was 20 times the yearly dues, a lot of money back then.

That was BK (before kids) but I was married to my first and still only wife. She needs a certificate for living with a nerd radio operator for that long. My first radio station was in our living room in an apartment.

The ARRL says they are sending me a pin to go with the certificate. The pin hasn’t arrived. I’ll post a picture when it does.
